IC testing service provider and equipment developer YoungTek Electronics (YTEC) has seen strong demand for IC testing services and equipment as well as equipment for miniLED backlighting, according to industry sources.

YTEC provides testing services for ICs used in PC peripherals, logic, mixed-single, non-volatile memory ICs as well as MCUs, USB, touch, analog power, CIS (CMOS image sensor), MEMS, finger recognition, RF and LCD driver ICs, the sources said.

For equipment, YTEC has developed IC testers, sorters, handlers, bonders, WLCSP test sorters and AOIs (automatic optical inspectors) used in semiconductor production as well as mini LED bonders used in production of miniLED backlighting, CCM (compact camera module) testers and AOIs used in optoelectronics production.

YTEC has reported consolidated revenues of NT$467.1 million (US$16.7 million) for June, increasing 1.15% on month and 77.27% on year; those of NT$1.437 billion for the second quarter of 2021 grew 25.59% on quarter and 73.86% on year, and those of NT$2.582 billion for January-June rose 47.66% on year.
